I started coming to Epic Motion with absolutely zero dance background or experience in the beginning of June 2024. I was looking for some sort of outlet; something fun, new and exciting. I took my very first intro to pole class without any knowledge about the sport. I was so warmly welcomed at my beginner level even though I was shy and intimidated. Little did I know taking this first class would change my life. I gave a hip hop dance class a try but felt overwhelmed with how much choreography they were doing all at once. I tried an aerial class but felt like I didn’t have the strength to get it down. I stopped going to the studio for about a year but I craved for the dance. Like an itch that can’t be scratched I longed for the relief. I finally reached out again and got myself back into the studio. A few classes here and a couple there, I was giving everything a try. Just dipping my toes into the water. I had to take a break for a few more months due to work and other life stresses but the cravings never went away. The final jump into the pool was when I joined the studio in April of 2026 which happened to be the beginning of the series for all the classes I wanted to take. Starting from the bottom. I kept up with going to class and watched the videos religiously and put in the time and effort to get in all the practice I could because I was preparing for my first ever dance performance at Epic Motion. I struggled through a lot of frustration and it took blood sweat and tears to memorize the routine on my own. I finally made it to the performance where I had my loved ones watching me, cheering me on. I absolutely nailed all of my moves and tricks. I am so proud of myself and how far I have become and how much I have grown not only as a dancer but as a person too. I am grateful for all of the encouragement and patience and kindness that has come from within the studio. Taking the first step is all you gotta do. It might change your life someday.

What they enjoy most about Epic Motion: It’s a fun and welcoming environment. It’s a safe place to be who you are. The classes are fun and exciting. You leave the studio feeling confident. The bonds you make with the ladies you are dancing with are priceless.

Aubrey Brisbine
Stage Name: The Paper Ninja
With Epic Motion: 3–5 years
Favorite Class / Performance Style: Swing will always be my first love! I designed this class to be accessible to everyone who doesn’t have a dance partner but still gots that swing!
I’ve always loved dancing, but never had an opportunity to take classes until I was in college. I went to BYU, a major dance university and devoured every dance class I could and performed with the swing dance team. When I graduated, I ended up in Portland, OR where I continued dancing multiple days a week at the various swing, blues, and ballroom clubs. When I moved to Wenatchee, I was afraid my dancing days were over, but then Epic Motion opened and my obsession was finally able to be reignited!

Larisa, whose stage name is Shakti, has loved dancing for as long as she can remember. She believes dance is a sacred space where feminine energy can flow freely, bringing healing, self-expression, and joy.

Larisa trained and rehearsed for Best of Epic Motion for the past six months and was originally preparing to appear throughout the production. Epic Motion Dance Studio NPO is casting aerialists, flow artists, dancers, and other movement performers to help create an Enchanted Forest themed entertainment experience at Okanogan Family Barter Faire 2026.

Epic Motion Dance Studio NPO is casting aerialists, flow artists, dancers, and other movement performers to help create an Enchanted Forest themed entertainment experience at Okanogan Family Barter Faire 2026.
Event Dates: October 16–18, 2026
Location: Tonasket, WA
We're building a collaborative cast to perform throughout the weekend as part of our interactive vendor space. The performance schedule is still being finalized with the Faire, so we're gathering interested performers now and will create a schedule that works with everyone's availability.
We're seeking:
Aerialists (lyra, silks, hammock, trapeze, etc.)
Hula hoopers and flow artists
Belly dancers
Acro and circus performers
Dancers and other movement artists
The experience will feature an Enchanted Forest theme with opportunities for themed performances, photo opportunities, mini lessons, and interactive demonstrations.
Performers must provide their own Okanogan Family Barter Faire admission/camping ticket. There may be opportunities to receive tips or trades during performances and activities.
Planning will be done through virtual meetings leading up to the event to develop the theme, costumes, music, and performance schedule.

- Required for anyone wishing to join our Variety Troupe (unless approved as a guest performer).
- Focused on teaching stage flow, backstage etiquette, costume preparation, and tech rehearsal procedures.
- Ideal for beginners and for experienced dancers wanting structured development.
We run two Foundation Series each year:
